Story
Michael is a father of 4, grandad to 7 and great grandad to 5 with another one due in October. He has been with his wife, Sue, since he was 16 and she was 15 years old. He has worked hard all his life to look after his family and just before he was due to retire he found out he had pancreatic cancer. This was supposed to be the time he could spend with his wife and family so he fought it and had surgery and treatment. It was a difficult time for the whole family but we thought we beat it...
But then, 6 years later, after being given the all clear, he was told it was back. It is now in his lungs, bones and we think, his brain. He is receiving palliative end of life care but he is still fighting. He is only 71 and still has a lot to live for so we are trying alternative therapies not available on the NHS. These are expensive and difficult to pay for on a pension. Family are helping where they can but it is not enough. Please can you spare a little to help so he can stay with his family a little longer. If he doesn't make it then the money will be used to pay for his funeral but we are hoping for a miracle.
