I've raised £2800 to Fund my elective placement to Uganda with the charity Nurse Uganda

As you all know I am studying to become a children's nurse. Only 1 more year and I will be qualified! We have a four week elective placement just before we qualify. I have chosen to go to Uganda in June 2018 to carry out this placement.
An amazing nurse from Great Ormand Street has set up a truly wonderful charity- Nurse Uganda- which takes 20 students from my university, every year, to Uganda. We have the opportunity to work under the supervision of qualified nurses, delivering much needed nursing care and health promotion to babies, children and families in both Kampala and the rural villages.
This is a fantastic initiative , benefiting the people we come into contact with and it is also an amazing opportunity for student nurses to learn how to work in some of the most basic and challenging environments possible. I will learn so much from the amazing families and health care workers out there, and I will return with a new appreciation for the NHS and valuable skills.
In total, the trip will cost £2,800. I need to raise this money purely through fundraising. A daunting task but I do love a challenge! The initial £1000 I am fundraising goes purely towards the medical supplies we will use over there. Once I reach this target I will aim to raise the rest that is required for my travel, food and accommodation out there.
I am starting with myself and a group of my awesome friends climbing the Yorkshire 3 peaks in August. Me and my friends are unfit students, so this will really challenge us. I hope that you can all dig deep to show your support, and in return I promise you that we will all manage to walk the 24 miles up 3 mountains. I will also supply the photo evidence which is bound to be hilarious! Thank you so much for your help!!
