Maya was found dumped at the side of the main road in Paramali village. She was bleeding heavily & in a very bad way. She was thankfully taken by a couple of very kind souls to the local vet. She had surgery to remove some large & painful vaginal tumours. The biopsy has shown that Maya has malignant tumours.

Maya is the sweetest soul. She is approx 7 years old & has most likely had 2/3 litters and lived her life as a hunting dog. She is so unbelievably gentle & just wants cuddles. She is the perfect family dog, clean & is needing very little training. She is currently living with us & with guidance from the fantastic vet she has just begun chemotherapy.

The vet isn't charging for his time & is keeping the costs as low as he can but the chemo is €80 a session and she will need 3/4 of these. On top of the chemo she needs bloods & medication. The vet is very hopeful that this treatment will help her beat cancer & enable her to have a quality of life.

We would be grateful for any help with her vet fees. Even a small amount would help us out especially with Christmas approaching.
