Myself, family and friends would to like try and raise some money for Aleisha and Luke both the parents of Laveya. Four weeks ago it was discovered that Laveya had an aggressive brain tumour the size of a small orange. She underwent surgery to have the tumour removed however, due to its location on the brain not all of the tumour could be removed surgically. Following a biopsy of the tumour Aleisha and Luke received the news that any parent would dread which was that their precious daughter has stage 3 brain cancer, a rare form also known as Anaplastic Ependymoma. Everyone who knows Laveya is devastated. Laveya was due to start chemotherapy today but sadly it has been postponed until next week now, as she is simply not well enough to begin the treatment at this time. Both myself, Aleisha, Luke and family are hopeful that once the treatment begins Laveya will use all her strength and determination to try fight this disease, along with the help of a fantastic medical team. Additionally, as a family we will also be there to support Laveya, Aleisha and Luke every step of the way. As well as offering love and support we would like to help support Aleisha and Luke financially as currently they are staying in Sheffield whilst Laveya is being treated in Sheffield's Children's Hospital. As both Aleisha and Luke live in Grimsby, they are struggling to maintain normal everyday house hold bills & also the costs of them both living in Sheffield. Like any parents would, Luke has unfortunately had to come out of work to make sure he can be with his partner and little girl at this difficult time. Although they have been very grateful to have received free accommodation provided by the Sick Childrens Trust, they now face having to pay for accommodation. As neither drive we would like to provide them with support so that they can commute to and from hospital & home. Lets help raise money for this little family so they have 1 less thing to worry about. X
