Story
Hello,
we are hoping to help raise funds for a dear colleague and friend. As a group of Aberdeenshire ambulance clinicians we are a close team, and our aim is to help and support a loved colleague . We would like to raise money to provide him with an assistance dog which will help alleviate his symptoms of PTSD. Our colleague has been a long serving and valued member of the ambulance community for over 20 years with the NHS.
Although traditional support has been helpful, our colleague recently had the opportunity to meet an assistant support dog and the effect on him and his symptoms was profound. Within 15 minutes of meeting the support dog there was an outstanding positive effect, and after the first hour the change in our colleague was amazing. We saw him laugh and smile for the first time in over a year.
We would like to raise the funds to provide our colleague with an assistance dog of his own. Monies raised will be used towards the training and provision of a specialist dog, trained to meet his specific requirements, by Assistance Dogs Scotland. Any additional funds raised would be donated to Assistance Dogs Scotland to aid them in their continuing passion to give life changing opportunities to people who face challenges in everyday life
