I have an emotional predicament, I am a duel citizen , both uk and St Vincent & the grenadines, I have lived with my Vincentian partner for 9 years. We live in St Vincent currently and as a couple are very happy, but a number of factors are making it more and more difficult. I am 60 years old and have parents in their 80's with no brothers or sisters so, my parents whom I love are my responsibility. We have spent 3 years in the uk in blocks of 6 months in the past so that I could work and stay with my parents, of course my partner could not work, we did split up due to the ongoing pressures of living in a country with very poor pay structure, if a job could be found, unemployment is very high. We know,we are unhappy apart so never want that to happen again longterm. Family and friends are prepared to help us by sponsoring my partner in uk to enable him the right to work and in time apply for leave to remain. Everything I research states I need savings or earnings of a certain amount, but as I currently work in St Vincent this would all take time . My wish is to have the 16,000 savings required for a period of 6 months, then we could both leave st Vincent and come back to help my parents and work.
