Theo has a neuromuscular condition called nemaline myopathy which affect 1 in 50,000 people and causes him a lot of problems, he can't swallow which means he cant eat so is tube feed as well as frequently needing suctioning so he doesn't choke on his screations, he has weak muscle tone limiting his movements, has breathing problems and requires a Bipap for 12 hours of the day and many medications daily the lost could go on. Theo is our third with nm two how have passed away at very early ages. Theo was given 6 months to live and we were asked to take of his life support a number of times but he pulled through every time and now he is almost 2 and doing incredible. With all of theos needs and the chance he could be taken from us at any point myself and daddy aren't working as we don't want to miss a second with him. Theo has two big sisters who are unaffected and love there baby brother to pieces, I really don't want to have to ask but we aren't in a financial position to sort adaptions without help, so I'm here asking away for help no matter how big or small to help us with adaptions to the property we are in. The council will fund so much but what they want to do isn't suitable for us as a family. I'm looking to raise around 20,000 to put towards the councils funding so we can build an extension big enough for a bedroom and wetroom downstairs for Theo instead of taking away half of our living area which is where we have to store most of Theos equipment and without the extension we wouldn't have the room for them. I know it seems like a lot of money it really is but without this we would be without the space we need for theos needs, as well as us as a family. If you can't donate that's ok we understand but please share as much as you can as someone out there could help us with our next big adventure with Theo and getting him the space he deserves, This will also include garden access and a safe place for him to play on the garden.
