Story

On Sunday 12th May, the Pig Roast Machine was stolen in broad daylight from Crowhill Quality Butchers in Nuneaton.

Crowhill Premier Pig Roast is run by Lee West, he is known within Nuneaton and the surrounding area for providing great food and service for special occasions and community events.

He works as a Butcher and provides the events and his well loved Pig Roast Takeaway on Sundays outside Crowhill Butchers where many local residents come along to save themselves the hassle of cooking, as well as providing a great value for money option for the community to have a roast dinner. Lee often donates food to local community hubs and key workers.

It's apparent that the thieves planned to steal this equipment, breaking into private property and quickly loading the machine into the back of a van before taking off.

Lee works over 15 hours on the days of the Pig Roast alone, as well as working as a butcher during the week to support his family - his wife, who works for the NHS and his two daughters.

The insurance is refusing to cover the incident and it will cost over £5,000 to replace the stolen machinery, which is totally damaging for a small business like his.

He really does work so so hard, and as he is so well loved for providing such great food and service to so many in and around Nuneaton, its so sad that these people have so callously tried to destroy his business and had no regard for his hard work.

Any contribution towards covering the cost of replacing the stolen machinery would be a huge help to him and enable him to continue providing the Pig Roast into the future.

Thank you everyone.
