Many of us have been to the hospital before. In the hospital we were provided with good quality healthcare, had privacy and were in relative comfort. Few of us consider that others may not have the same access to what we are so used to. In Tanzania, all the women in labour are in one room with no privacy and one midwife to look after all of them, this leads to many brith complications so when the babies are born the chance of critical conditions arising is a lot higher. There are no incubators so the light from the room is used instead which is a recipe for spreading diseases and doesn't give the babies the protection that they need. My aim is to raise money to help provide these resources that we don't think twice about. An incubator costs between 200 - 600 pounds, which isn't that much considering the difference one of them will make.

Recently, Gap Medics in Morogoro has been shut down. This has left the staff without jobs and they've lost the ability to support their families and local communities. A portion of the money we raise will go to the staff to help them and their families while they are finding new jobs.
