As many of you know, last year I was diagnosed with MDS. MDS is a form of bone marrow failure. The treatment for this to be cured is a stem cell transplant. When I was diagnosed, it felt like I had been given a death sentence, and I realised that life is too short to be too scared to do things. Sky diving is something I have always wanted to do but have always been far too scared! (I am terrified of flying...)! But I consider myself lucky enough that my illness is not yet bad enough for me not to be able to the things I want to do. I am still able to live how I want to live and be like another other normal 19 year old. By raising money for charity, I feel like I will be doing my part to make it possible for those not as lucky as me, those who can't live how they want to live, and can't do the things they would love to do. Being a cancer patient is one of the hardest and scariest things I've ever had to get my head around, and sometimes it still doesn't feel real. Having cancer is something people fear the most. I no longer fear it, I face it. Jumping out of this plane is just one more fear I'm ready to face. Please help me by donating, and together we can beat cancer sooner!
