Story
During our recent trip to Zimbabwe, we visited L'arche Zimbabwe; an institutuon focusng on the care of 25 children and young adults With learning disabilities. Man in their care have been orphaned or rejected by their family.
The L'arche community provide a home and school for these vulnerable people.
While the staff there are hugely compassionate and caring in their roles, they lack resources, vital equipment and funding to provide activities to enhance the quality of life of those in their care.
A heartbreaking moment came during our visit when we met a young man who was paralysed. The school have no wheelchairs so his only means of mobility was using his arms to drag himself along the ground on his front.
In the western world, dignity and comfort is something we often take for granted will be provided for those in need.
We would love to raise enough money to provide the school with TWO WHEELCHAIRS, AND SOME URGENTLY NEEDED FUNDING.
Out initiAl aim is to raise £376.50 ($500 USD)
Every little donation will be gratefully received and help to make an unimaginable difference to the life of a young man who experiences the world on ground level, and children in need.
Thank you for taking the time to read.
