Story
I've been given the amazing chance to go to Tanzania with my school in the summer of 2019 for some extremely favourable, ethical and superlative reasons. These being to work on projects to fulfil the community’s needs, for instance:
Building schools for generations of children who may not have the chance to get the education as we do in the UK, despite having just as much or more potential as us to succeed.
Building homes for some of the most impoverished and indigent families with 51 percent of the population living under the breadline compared to 6.5 percent in the UK and who, urgently and vitally, need housing for their own welfare and safety.
Drastically improving the healthcare and wellbeing of the locals by installing and improving amenities as well as installing water facilities to improve the water security; thereby lessening the risk of children and adults illness and hopefully changing the life expectancy of ONLY 50 years of age.
In addition to helping the local community, we will also be doing our best efforts to help the natural ecosystem around them by helping protect vulnerable wildlife from poachers and assisting them too gain more access to water and food sources.
Considering all of the facts, it is clear our work is absolutely essential to bettering the lives of the locals and the community as a whole. Therefore, I'd be extremely grateful for even the slightest bit of help to achieve the vast goal of £3950 (of which a certain percentage goes to the community) as it will help me learn life skills and gain a once in a life time experience but, and more importantly, this will also give me the chance to help a community and allow them to have the same opportunities in life that I have been lucky enough to have.
