Story

Winter is an especially hard time for those experiencing homelessness. Not only do those still outside experience the loneliness, isolation and the feeling of being apart from society, but the constant struggle to keep warm and dry, as temperatures plummet and the nights draw in mean that the struggle to just make it another day can be all to real for some people.

This year is anticipated to be especially harsh as the fallout from Covid-19 has led to a sharp increase in people losing their jobs, relationship breakdowns and with the end of the government ban on evictions, it is predicted that homelessness will reach a peak around Christmas.

With the money raised we are able to deliver hot food, drinks, hats, coats and other supplies every night of the week to people sleeping on the streets of Thanet. Alongside this we provide a friendly face, a chance to chat and the ability to signpost people to further support where it is available to them.

We cannot do this without your help.
