Seva is a Sanskrit word that describes the act of selfless service. Its meaning is said to be embodied by the root words saha, meaning "with that," and eva, meaning "too," which together mean "together with".

For the past two years I have been studying yoga through Peace Yoga on the Gold Coast, and I will graduate next month. As part of my 'selfless' service, I am hoping to raise £300 for the Palampur Leprosy Village, India.

About 130,000 people are diagnosed with leprosy in India every year, more than in any other country in the world. Though a cure for the disease exists, deep-rooted discrimination continues to impede the path from poverty to economic independence.

I have been teaching an eight-week beginner's course and raised a small amount of money for the people of the village so far. I am hoping my friends who know how much hard work I have put into the course will help me to get over the finish line! In exchange, I am happy to offer my supporters free yoga lessons whenever they want/need to rebalance.
