Story
Lauren and Sarah are running Parallel London to raise funds to help #ToyLikeMe keep shaking up the toy box for 150 million disabled children worldwide who need toy box representation.
#ToyLikeMe is an arts and play based not-for-profit celebrating disability representation in toys and calling on the global toy industry to better represent 150 million disabled children worldwide who rarely see themselves positively represented in the toys they play with.
#ToyLikeMe believe ALL children deserve to be included in the cultural mainstream and have successfully lobbied Lego, Playmobil and Lottie dolls to bring out toys with wheelchairs and hearing aids. Team #ToyLikeMe are aiming to raise £2500 by running Parallel London. The funds will be used to support the web hosting and maintenance costs of toylikeme.org, an online hub celebrating all things toy-ish and disabled. £2500 will help secure the website for three years and help #ToyLIkeMe keep shaking up the toy box for generations to come.
