Story
Anyone who knows me and Sophie individually but more so together know we have some crazy ideas. We encourage each other to follow these crazy ideas out too. This is probably the maddest idea we have ever had but will also be one of the most rewarding once we do and finish it.
So... we have decided on the 12th September we will be doing the Yorkshire 3 peaks for 2 charities are close to us for different reasons. The challenge mean us walking a total of 24 miles with an ascent of 1585m. It is going to be a massive walk and a difficult one there is no denying that but one that will be so worth it at the end.
The charities we have chosen are Project 14 and Tickhill Road Hospital (Doncaster area). Both equally important to us both.
Project 14 is a charity set up in barnsley to support local people struggling with mental health after the tragic suicide of a much loved member of the community and friend to the organisers of the charity. They are an amazing charity doing such a fantastic to support mental health in the local area and one that is very close to so many including Sophie. And we want to support them in the best way.
Tickhill Road Hospital support so many from children to the elderly suffering with a range of mental health and other illnesses. They do an amazing job and there support they give is second to none. It is personal to me the reason we have agreed on this charity also for someone who is very special to me and the only way to show the appreciation for this area of the sector and to the people they are currently supporting not only patients but families.
We will split any sponsor 50/50 to each charity. And hope we can do these justice.
Thank you in advance for supporting us on this massive challenge love to all of you! Lauren and Sophie xxx
