For years now I've said that if the cause was great enough and the support was there I would so something crazy for charity; namely saying Shave my hair off! And for those who know me well, you know I love my crazy hair... As most of you know by now, on the 7th of October my beautiful daughter Lauren was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. Life altering news. For a month now we've joked, laughed and pondered about this and whether Lauren's cause was great enough to warrant me actually living up to my words. Well of course she's a great enough cause! And as I look at her whilst she jokes about me doing it I can see the seriousness behind the laughter; she's going to lose her hair and the prospect of it all terrifies her. She's so quiet and dignified that sometimes I forget that she's suffering. So, in my fight to show her that she isn't alone, and never will be, I am going to shave my hair as she begins to lose hers. Lauren is my great cause. She is my charity. And she is my support.
So I ask of you, whether it be a few pennies or a few pounds please donate so we can give back a little something to the people that have helped us on our cancer journey so far and who will continue to help us right through on our roads to recovery. In advance we thank you for all of your support x
