I'm raising £8000 to Run the Length of the UK in Under 17 Days in Memory of My Mum & Dad

Story

In May 2026, I’ll be running the length of the UK—from John O’Groats to Land’s End—covering over 850 miles in under 17 days. That’s two marathons a day, every day… apart from the final day, where I’ll be finishing with a half marathon into Land’s End.

This challenge is the biggest thing I’ve ever taken on, and I’m doing it for four incredible charities: NET Cancer UK, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, the British Heart Foundation & Mind. These organisations mean the world to me and my brothers, Seb and Dom—and they’ve played a significant role in our family’s story.

I lost my mum in 2020 after her 10-year battle with neuroendocrine cancer, and I lost my dad suddenly in 2023 after he lived with heart disease throughout his life.

Running became my lifeline through grief - I turned to it searching for a way to cope. What began as a way to manage panic attacks and sleepless nights quickly turned into something much more: a path forward. Running gave me structure, purpose, and a deep sense of connection to both my parents. It’s been a source of healing through some of the darkest days, and this challenge is the next step on that journey.

In 2024, I ran coast to coast across the UK, raising money for NET Cancer UK, Birmingham Children’s Hospital & the British Heart Foundation in memory of my parents. That experience cemented my belief that running can be a force for good—not just personally, but in service of something greater.

I’m taking on this challenge in honour of my parents, and in recognition of the amazing work these charities continue to do for families like mine.

Your donation—big or small—will mean so much. It will go directly towards supporting vital research, care, and support services provided by these organisations.

Disclaimer: I’ll be covering all essential costs of the challenge through sponsorships and personal contributions where possible. Any funds donated here may be used to support remaining logistical costs in the first instance. Once these are covered, 100% of all remaining donations will go directly to the four charities

Thank you so much for reading, sharing, and supporting. This run is for my mum, for my dad, and for everyone who’s ever needed to keep moving forward, one step at a time.
