I've raised £5000 to Help build a school for children in West Africa, Ghana. Currently, the structure is a death trap for the children.

Appeal for support for the construction of classroom block.
BACKGROUND
The school was established in the 1948 at Klo Agogo in the Yilo Krobo District of the Eastern Region of Ghana. The Town is about an hour’s drive from Koforidua, the Regional capital. Although a rural community, education has been a priority for most parents and that passion culminated in the establishment of a basic school almost 70 years ago. Yet, the sad aspect of it is that this school has not seen any major face-lift since its establishment almost 70 years ago. The classroom structures which were made up of sandcrete are now dilapidated putting the lives of the students and staff in danger. There are big cracks in the walls, roofing sheets are seen hanging, and wood which serves as pillars are seen dangling dangerously without any support. Besides the roofs leak profusely whenever it rains. The structure is now a death trap and unsafe for both teachers and pupils and this does not enhance teaching and learning. The kindergarten block in particular is appalling and needs fixing as soon as possible. The staff numbers keeps on dwindling as many of them have sought transfer to other places and the new ones are also reluctant to get posted to the school. As at now, there are only 13 teachers in the whole school even though the student population is 296. Thus, parents are reluctant to enrol their children in the school.
Given the importance of education for a better future for the children, the management of the school is inviting well-wishers to assist in the construction of new classroom structures.
Thank you all for your support
