Story
I'm raising money in memory of my sister, Lauren, who sadly passed away aged 30 in July 2023, to fund a publicly accessible Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and a secure outdoor cabinet so it can be available 24 hours a day for anyone who needs it.
Cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, and in those first few minutes every second counts. There are many occasions when a 999 call handler will direct someone nearby to collect the nearest defibrillator while an ambulance is on its way. Having an AED close by can make a vital difference and significantly improve someone's chance of survival.
By supporting this fundraiser, you will help create a lasting legacy for Lauren while providing life-saving equipment that could one day save the life of a neighbour, friend, family member, or even a stranger. As Lauren's children grow older, I hope they can take comfort in knowing that something created in their mum's memory has helped give others the precious gift of more time with the people they love.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to making this happen. Thank you for helping us turn such a heartbreaking loss into something that could save lives.
Thank you 🙏
