Story

On the 6th of October this year I will be skydiving to raise money for a charity very close to my heart called SAMH (Scottish Association of Mental Health).

The amazing work that this charity do have both helped me and friends/family members. They provide support and care for millions of people of all ages in Scotland that are struggling with mental health.

One inspiring project SAMH are working on at the moment is to provide mental health training to all professionals working in education. From teachers to learning assistants to office staff, everyone that works closely with children should be trained how to recognise the signs of a potential mental health problem. This initiative has already begun in England and it is time to roll it across schools and colleges in Scotland!

The estimated cost of this program is around £4,000,000. Obviously I can’t raise the whole amount on my own but to be able to donate even a small percentage is gratifying enough for me.

Having depression/Anxiety has been a long and tiring journey but without the work of CAMHS (which SAMH support) I don’t think I would be here today to do something like this! This has been something I have wanted to work the nerve up for for years and I’m so please to finally be doing it!

Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you in advance for any donations.
