From 30th March to 11th April 2018 I will be joining the Project Ghana 2018 volunteer team (sponsored by the SEC Community Services Department of the UK SDA church). We will be heading to Ghana to do the following projects:-

"1. Renovate and refurbish the Kwadaso SDA Hospital Children’s/Maternity Ward.

The hospital currently has only eleven beds and one delivery room in their maternity ward. Unfortunately, many pregnant women are turned away due to the limited facilities thus increasing the risk for expectant mothers and their unborn babies. Project Ghana 2018 aims to paint, renovate, acquire a few more hospital beds, purchase at least one ultrasound machine and an incubator for the Children’s/Maternity unit at Kwadaso Hospital.

2. Renovate and resource the local church/school and community library at Big Ada.

Currently, the only SDA church, which is an open shed is used as a district church, and also serves as a school block housing nine classes of different year groups during the weekdays. Project Ghana 2018 aims to renovate the existing school/church shed by replacing the roof and replacing the rotten window frames. Secondly, we will also be roofing a three-classroom block and another team will be renovating the local library by replacing some of the damaged ceiling boards and painting the building. We will be stocking the library with books and computers donated through your generosity." - Project Ghana 2018

The money I raise will be used to fund the above projects as well as help with my travel and accomodation costs.
