I have been very skeptical about setting this up as I am not a big fan of asking for help, but it has been suggested to me a couple of times and I figured it won’t hurt.

I am transgender, ftm and there has never been a doubt in my mind that I will be wanting surgery. I have been on the NHS waiting list for years and am still waiting for my first appointment with them - so to get to the point of surgery through the NHS will take years.

I have already gone privately for hormone replacement therapy, which is expensive enough within itself so the next thing I am looking at is top surgery. Now that I’ve actually been looking at top surgery I am so focused on actually getting it, I was never really bothered about waiting, but now the waiting is actually taking its toll on me mentally.

It‘ll probably come as no surprise, that many trans people travel for their surgery as surgery in Europe is much cheaper than it is in the UK. I am looking at going with Dr Lembas in Poland and have enquired with him - but the cost of going and staying in Poland and the surgery is still cheaper than if I was to get the surgery in the UK. He currently has a waiting list of about a year and requires you to be on testosterone for at least a year beforehand - which i will be starting in September hopefully.

I am saving myself - i estimate the total cost will probably come to about £4 - £5K (including travel and staying in poland) and I want to reach that amount sooner rather than later, so i can get this booked as soon as possible so any help would be so appreciated, this will actually change my life so much.
