Story
We need help to provide support for local children this winter. Latimer Community Art Therapy (LCAT) was set up in the immediate aftermath of the Grenfell Tower fire to provide a safe space for free play and to support local children with their mental health. Having an open access group for the children attending the play service has proved an invaluable resource and we are looking for support to ensure that we continue with this vital work during the year ahead. It Is looking difficult but we are going to do everything we can to keep going! We provide lots of fun, support, orange squash, smiles, sport, warmth and food and crucially we also provide art therapy in our dedicated centre. This is a tailored and highly effective intervention for children and young people, delivered by a team of the best clinicians. The demand on our services has never been greater and we don’t want to compromise. Children come through our doors every day and we are desperate to be able to take on more cases. We want to be able to provide 100 extra days of art therapy this winter, as well as offer the kids we support, over 500, some fun activities. Please help us to raise £35,000.
