As many of you know, Jerry and I were in a motorbike accident which resulted in his death. By some miracle I survived to tell the tale but it has been a very traumatising time with lots of stress, medical intervention, sadness and anger. I am struggling a lot with dealing with the death of my love, my main support, my comforter, my partner in crime and my world here has completely changed. I know Jerry did everything he could to save my life and that makes him a true hero. Sadly grief isn't the only thing I am trying to cope with at the moment.

When I landed I smashed my face resulting in my nose being shattered and my bone cartlidge removed. My front tooth was knocked out and my jaw fractured. My four bottom teeth severed my bottom lip and are now unresponsive to nerve tests.

Much of my medical expense has been covered by my insurance but all my dental treatment is not covered. I require a bone graft to fix my jaw and an implant for my missing front tooth. My bottom teeth will need ongoing medical intervention as the dentist works out if they can be saved. The cost of the bone graft operation and implant is an up front payment so I have taken a loan to cover the operation. There will be ongoing expense as I recover and require more intervention and medication.

I know lots of people want to help and don't know what to do or say. It's a terrible situation that no one can change the outcome of. However having this operation without financial stress would mean so much to me. To start the road to recovery for my mouth would be a much needed positive in a very negative world. Any donations at all will help me to pay for my operation and ongoing medical treatment for my teeth and jaw.
