Story

George Partridge sadly lost his life in a tragic accident while on the final week of his Army Divers Class 2 course. In the event of this tragic loss, George has left behind his wife, Zoe who is expecting their first child together.

Having previously served with 1st Field Squadron for a few years and deploying on Herrick 17, George made a big impact on the people around him that he worked with. He was a very motivated and fit individual who always had the passion to become an Army Diver. Always cheerful and up for a laugh he would make any situation a more cheerful one.

1st Field Squadron, 21 Engineer Regiment, who are currently deployed in Kenya, will be conducting a charity run for 50-60km across Kenya in memory of LCpl George Partridge on the 2nd June 2018.

No money in the world can ever replace George but the aim of this event is to raise as much money as we can for his daughter Ava Pearl Partridge, to be put into a trust fund until she is old enough to receive it.

The minimum target is not the aim of how much we want to raise it is the minimum amount required to set up the page. The more we raise together the more we leave his daughter with a little something that shows her dad was loved and remembered by many. Any donation no matter how big or small will go a long way.

I would finally like to thank everyone beforehand for any contributions made and we will keep you all posted with pictures of the event. Feel free to share this page and raise as much as we can.

Many thanks

Cpl Ward, 1st Field squadron
