Story
As the pandemic continues to take its toll on community spaces we are determined to offer weekly face-to-face events alongside the ongoing Zoom sessions as of 9th September. Unfortunately, this comes at a cost with website hosting, domain and zoom account fees taking a monthly toll on our accounts.
We have also sourced a central London Venue for this (a theatre with a large auditorium) but will require at least 85GBP per week in order to pay our dues once we are back. The transition away from pandemic restrictions will mean that we cannot go straight back into our usual Gay's the Word bookshop space. Hence, why we hope to build up a venue costs buffer in advance.
This campaign is meant to raise donations to help us with Zoom, Website upkeep, future venue costs and other pandemic expenses. Every penny counts and would be massively appreciated.
In the past we have collected donations for Gay's The Word bookshop (to which we hope to return, soon). This is the first time we are collecting for ourselves so thank you for taking the time to read this.
