Story
I am Leah Burns and I have been selected along with 15 others to represent Girlguiding North West England on an International trip to Armenia.
The purpose of the trip is not a holiday! It is to help develop guiding overseas and even help the local community, cultural exchange to make international links, develop NUGGGS (National Union of GirlGuides and Girl Scouts) in Armenia. We hope to be involved in a community action project while we are there alongside experiencing camping with other young people.
I was selected as a result of my involvement in Guiding over many years and in particular my current role of Rainbows leader and Peer Educator. I’ve even won the Youth Jubilee Award because of my work with Girlguiding!
