Our Uncle Richie was are lifeline for many of us in our family, from picking the kids up from school to going the shops for you in the winter so you did not have to drag the kids out. He would help out anyone all you would need to do is ask, he socalised at the local Swimming Pool each week and visitit friends on his daily walks and also his job was to make sure his Mum, Dad's and Sisters gravewhere kept neat and tidy. Just over two years ago Richie went to watch a football match with his mates and unfortunatley on his way home he fell down the stairs on the bus, he was police escorted to hospital with a broken back. He has spent up to a year in Southport Hospital and now he is trying to recover but just done another month stuck in hosptal due to another fall in his house. Richie needs help he can only walk supported by a frame he has not been out dependantly since his accident he is becoming very depressed and withdrawn. THE MAN JUST NEEDS TO GET OUT!! And every service he and his wife have gone to they have been knocked back as he has a manual wheelchair but his wife Pat is still recovering from her own medical health and is unable to push him. We all need to pull together to get his social life back on track mentally and physicaly.
