Story

In memory of our little explorer

On November 8th 2017 it came with great sadness and shock that we said good bye to one of our Little Explorers. Our hearts and thoughts went out to the family of Bram Radcliffe who died tragically at his family home at the young age of 2 years and 5 months. In memory of Bram and as a celebration of his short life we are wanting to develop an inspirational outdoor space where imaginations can run wild. In memory of Bram children will play with and amongst some of his favourite things to do outdoors. Children can enjoy exploring lots of cleverly designed small world areas which was one of Bram’s favourite areas in nursery to play. Bram loved to be outside and he had so much energy and curiosity for climbing and spending time digging in the sensory garden, looking for bugs and playing with and on the diggers.

We are wanting to inspire our children to love the outdoors at Little Explorers and to celebrate life by looking after our bodies by eating healthy and staying active. This outdoor space will create an amazing space for young children to be active, encourage children to use all their senses to learn about the world in which they live, and to make connections between new information and what they already know. Introduce children into following a healthy lifestyle, to exercise their bodies, and be able to move freely with pleasure and confidence.
