Story
In April of this year (2018) I went into labour at 38 weeks pregnant with my beautiful daughter Lyanna Louise.
Everything had been fine all the way through my pregnancy and had regular scans and appointments including the day before she was born.
So after my final appointment at Lancaster royal infirmary with my consultant the day before my little girl was born everything was fine her heart beat was going strong she was kicking me in the ribs constantly and moving loads and I was coping well, excited that I would get to meet my little girl very soon. Later that day the I started cramping up and as the nite went into morning the cramping was getting worse I woke up and took my other daughter to school. just as I pulled onto my drive I felt a pop and thought "oh could it be she's coming" turns out she was as my waters broke just as I got out of my car.
So I rang my partner Dom to tell him to come home as need to go hospital. He came home we loaded the car and excited left the house to go and have out little girl.
When we got there the contractions were close. They hooked me up to the monitor and struggled to find her heart beat they did a scan and was rushed straight into theater as her heart beat was 40 to 60 bmp.
Once I came around I was told that it was too late and that she had gone. My excitement had turn to utter devastation with in hours.
The time after was a blur but the staff at the hospital gave us a cuddle cot to put out daughter in.
A cuddle cot is a cot that's cold that can delay the onset of the body changing so you can spend more time with your baby after they have died.
This was a brilliant piece of equipment that we were lucky enough to use while we were there and got so many more pictures memories and time with Lyanna.
So I'm wanting to try to raise as much as I can to help my local hospital who went above and beyond with there care and looking after us after to get them another cot as a thank you.
