Hi.

My name is Leanne. I am taking part and running in the Chester half marathon in 2018. Those who know me will understand and realise that this is going to be a monumental effort in the undertaking.

Last year i was inspired by my neice Ellie who did this herself. It is now my goal to be able to complete this too.

Why am I doing this? Why am I putting myself through the agony of running 13 and a bit miles. The pain. The blisters. Well the reason I am running is to raise money to equip a local care home, "Jason Hylton Court Care Home" where I work as the registered on site nurse with an "assisted bath". In having one of these amazing baths will allow the residents to be able to bathe a lot easier, more comfortable and more convenient. Not only is it for a sense of cleanliness and dignity but also for a lot of residents who suffer with certain issues will be able to use it for sensory therapy from touch sound and light, and for residents to simply enjoy bathing within the comfort and familiar surroundings of the care home.
