I've raised £800 to get medical treatment not available through the NHS.

I am 38 years old and have been suffering from Degenerative Disc Disease for 24 years now, after an accident during a routine Physical Education lesson. I have 3 discs now irrevocably damaged in the L4/L5 area of my spine. I have had 2 microdiscectomy surgeries to alleviate the pressure on my S1 nerve root which was rendering me unable to walk. The discs were so badly dehydrated and fragmented that replacement/fusion was not an option for me. All the surgeon could do was remove as much fragmented material as possible. I currently rely on 14 tablets daily to manage my condition; including opiates which are in my system 24 hours a day. My discs have annular tears which leak and exacerbates nerve pain. I have a significant portion of irreversible nerve damage in my lumbar area and am at high risk of developing cauda equina syndrome due to location of my damaged discs. This condition can result in permanent incontinence or paralysis. I am housebound the majority of the time - I have zero social life, to be blunt. I merely exist, in constant pain. I have been told by my doctors that my condition is incurable, will inevitably deteriorate as time goes on and all they can do is continue prescribing medication to try and manage it.
However....I have found a lifeline! Treatments with an Osteomyologist would allow me a far better quality of life. Their website gives in-depth detail about what they do - http://osteomyology.co.uk/. Unfortunately, the treatments are not available through the NHS. Moreover, since my first surgery I have been unfit for work and am now reliant on state benefits which has obviously had a huge impact on my income. The treatments are £60 and, for the first month, I would require 2 per week. Thereafter, it would reduce until I would only need to attend 2 per month or every second month. To this end, I have set a target of £800 which would allow me to start this treatment process. It is the ONLY option available which will alleviate the constant pain I am in. I am well aware that there are so many deserving causes and so many people in the world today who are in need. I can only say that any donation will be appreciated more than I can express. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
