We are a new club, established in 2017, by a group of like minded individuals who could see the need for a club in the North East of Scotland to deliver snowsports skills development programmes for the growing number of children who are both learning to ski and/or snowboard and taking part in schools snowsports competitions. This led to the formation of G*Snow, a community club run by the community for the community. We endeavor to be friendly, approachable and welcoming to all.

Our mission is to encourage participation in Snowsports by all in Grampian by providing a pathway for skill development from grassroots level and beyond; to delivering fun and inclusive coaching, fostering a lifelong love of Snowsports; and to promote multi-sports and the improvement of all-round physical literacy for long term benefit both in Snowsports and outwith.

2020 has been a difficult year for all of us - the restrictions around Covid-19 meant we had to cancel our first club trip to Norway, and have impacted on our abillity to deliver coaching sessions. We are doing our snow-dances and hoping this winter is a snowy one in Scotland, but every little helps, so we want to help our friends at Lecht 2090 invest in infrastructure to create as much snow as possible, raise funds to support our club, stay active and have fun.

From 20 November until 13 December, our club will be trying to cover the distance between the slopes where we are based, at the Lecht in Scotland, to Lech in Austria - a total of 2090km. We will do this by running, swimming and cycling, and we are looking for you to sponsor us in doing so, to raise £2090 to support snowsports in northeast Scotland. The money we raise will be split between our club, helping us to purchase a container to store our kit, and Lecht 2090, to support their snowmaking crowdfunder, allowing everyone to enjoy winter sports whatever the weather.
