I've raised £15000 to Help ID offer prisoners courses where they can be equipped with new skills and self worth, as part of their rehabilitation process.

(youtube channel link will be posted here at some stage so supporters can follow the journey)!
I'm running the Jurassic coast 100km (62 miles) on the 21st July 2018. This is a self funded personal challenge. Which means every penny raised through sponsorship will be going to charity.
A good friend of mine Tracy is building a pathway that leads to a place that has the potential to take the ball and chain away from individual prisoners forever. She is building this path way through Imago Dei prison ministry (ID). I believe in Tracy and her vision. 100% of funds raised will be donated to Tracy's charity. Every penny has the potential to impact someone's life.
More about ID below:
OUR MISSION
Imago Dei Prison Ministry is committed to equipping prisoners to unlock and live in their God given potential, set free from their past, knowing their true identity in Christ.
OUR VISION
ID Prison Ministry envisage having staff and volunteers working in many prisons, sharing the love of Christ through a practical and empowering range of activities and counselling, releasing people from the cycle of re-offence, and seeing ex-offenders positively re-integrated into society.
In addition, we want to develop our ministry to include a preventative aspect, using ex-offenders to share their stories and experiences of prison-life in order to impact those who may be at risk of receiving a prison sentence otherwise.
Finally, longer term, we would love to have a 'Through The Gate' service, where we are able to mentor and assist prisoners in the re-integration process, including providing housing for ex-offenders.
OUR PURPOSE
To encourage and support christian offenders in their faith in Jesus Christ.
To see people come to faith in Jesus Christ.
To see all prisoners, regardless of faith empowered to change their lives with a new hope for the future.
To see all prisoners, regardless of faith successfully and productively re-integrated into society.
To see family life restored.
To see a lower re-offending rate.
OUR ETHOS
We believe that every life matters, every life is precious and every life counts.
We offer our courses and services to all, regardless of ethnicity, race, colour or faith.
We believe in a spirit of excellence, aim to do all things well, and to offer the best that we can in every situation.
We aim to love and serve all, and to give the time required to each person that we work with so that they might know their value and worth as a precious individual.
WHAT WE DO
We are passionate about seeing people enter into and grow their relationship with Jesus Christ.
We want to help them to address their personal issues, and the reasons for their past offending behaviour - with a view to becoming healed, whole, and living complete in their God-given potential. It is our desire that each person we work with will learn to not be defined by their past but look with hope to their future, beyond the prison gates - knowing their true identity in Jesus Christ; free from crime, and living healthy and productive God glorifying lives.
We currently run Bible studies in groups and on a one-to-one basis including Christianity Explored, as well as Bible studies using art and DVDs. We offer individual pastoral care and support for prisoners and resourcing to prison chaplaincy departments.
In addition our ‘FREE TO BE’ Programme of courses run in 3 women’s prisons offering:
PARENTING COURSE
LIVING WITH LOSS COURSE
SMILE WOMAN COURSE – a self development course
UNDERSTANDING FORGIVENESS COURSE
VICTIM AWARENESS COURSE
