I haven't seen my son for 2 years. I normally only get to see him for 2 weeks a year for a holiday in Italy. He lives in New Zealand and I live in Hampshire in the UK.

Earlier this year I was supposed to meet him in Italy having also missed seeing him last year, but the cosmos worked againgst me. So we planned that I would travel down to NZ in my leave from work in December. Trip was planned and flights booked back in July. Arrangements made with colleagues to get a few days extra leave. Then on August 10th at 0914hrs I was involved in a motorcycle accident, fracturing my shoulder and breaking my collarbone. By mid September the collarbone hadn't set right and I had to go in for surgery to have it rebuilt again and plated.

This meant I was still off work. I wasn't earning my overtime or my enhanced hours pay. Fast forward to 13/11/16 and New Zealand had a major earthquake measuring 7.8.

This earthquake has damaged major roads and railway lines between Christchurch and Picton meaning I can't get to Picton by land. My only other option is to fly by a small 18 seater plane and stay in a backpacker hostel awaiting the flight. The flight is NZ$199 each way plus the backpacker hostel.

This is money I haven't got due to currently being unfit for work due to the shoulder/collarbone injury.

I would really appreciate any help support. I need to see my son. He's doing his exams and in the NZ Air Cadets.
