Megan was diagnosed with AML leukaemia on 25/10/16, it is the most aggressive form and only a bone marrow transplant will cure it, chemo is only slowing it down from spending, she as had very intense chemo 3 times now each time has left her very exhausted and bad side effects, but still managed to fight through even at her low times where she has no energy. Megan has to have blood transfusions n platlets transfusions as her immune system is rock bottom and can't fight infections, Which as left her to be neutropenic, therefore has left her feeling trapped as not allowed to go in public places or see many of her friends due to high risk off infections. Megan will be going into isolation on the 3rd off January for the highest most intense chemo yet preparing her for her bone marrow transplant and will be in for 4/6weeks. We are over the moon she has received this amazing Christmas gift from her donor in Germany, as she was a rare type. Megan is a strong girl and fighter never moaned once throughout her high and low times. Megan has always been a confident happy girls always smiling and this illness and despite her loosing her hair has not knocked her confidence once. We As parents are very proud of her and with all our strength we will fight this together she's an inspiration to us and others around her.
We have set up this fund up so when she recovers she can enjoy herself and do normal things that she as missed out of and she can look forward to do what she wishes.
