Story

So after running for 2 years now, I’ve recently felt like i wanted to have a purpose in what I’m achieving, with all the running I’ve been doing. After following A Good Year To Run on Social Media, i have been inspired to do more with my running. After finding out more of what they are aiming to achieve, I knew this was something I wanted to be apart of. I’m excited to become a Member of Team A Good Year To Run, and can wait to get started.

Over the next year, I will be looking at participating in numerous 5k’s, 10k’s, Half Marathons and even a Marathon (or Two), with the aim to raise money and donate to this fantastic cause.

So what is A Good Year To Run???

A Good Year To Run is a Year-Long Fundraiser set up in Memory of Sheelagh Steels.

After raising £5,676.03 in their First Fundraising year, they enter their 2nd year, looking to undertake numerous fundraising events again, with one Aim - To Raise as much money as they can.

This year will see the return of “The Sheelagh Steels Memorial Shield” Football Tournament, “A Good Night To Dance” Fundraising Disco Evening, as well as numerous Running Races through “Team A Good Year To Run” (Team AGYTR).

All at A Good Year To Run are Delighted to be teaming up with the Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice, and in particular, their “Charlie Chimp Club for Bereaved Children”, who will be the beneficiary of the money they raise in their second year of Fundraising.
