Story

"Brigstowe’s vision is a world in which people living with HIV live long and healthy lives, free from poverty, stigma, prejudice and discrimination. Brigstowe’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for people living with HIV".

The Brigstowe Project are a fantastic charity who are based in Bristol and are supporting those affected by HIV as well as helping to reduce stigma. Through my workplace I have recently started a relationship with the charity and would love to raise money for them to contribute to their great work. They are making a real difference in Bristol, with testimonials on their website and annual statement proving how valued and life-changing they are in the local community.

On the 31st of August, as part of a fundraising day at work, my colleagues Andy, Jake and James will be taking the plunge and getting their legs waxed in order to raise money for Brigstowe. They are all incredibly excited to have silky-smooth legs and are putting on brave faces for now but we'll see how long they last!

Your donations and how they will help: £10 could pay for a small flat to be heated for a week. £100 could pay for 5 counselling sessions for someone who is newly diagnosed with HIV and £250 could fund a well-being event.

Any amount you can spare will be gratefully received. In addition to this, 100% of the donations from the fundraising day on the 31st will go directly to Brigstowe.

Thank you for donating and taking the time to read this page.
