When I was younger, my life went down hill. My mum left me, my best friend passed away due to taking their own life and I was endlessly bullied for who I was. At the ages of 13-15, I started pulling my hair out, including my eyebrows, eyelashes and pubic hair. I had no control over it. At 16 I went to the doctors and got diagnosed with a mental health problem called Trichotillomania. This disorder causes me to pull my hair out and. I have no control over it. There's no cure for this apart from visiting a councillor and I know from experience that a councillor isn't for everyone. When I first was diagnosed I would pull my hair for around 4 hours a day.
