Story
10 years ago I was diagnosed with renal failure, I consider myself very lucky that several people offered to be tested for donation. My brother Wayne was found to be a perfect match and on June 11th June 2008 I received a special present which gave me a new lease of life. In the build up to my transplant I received lots of support from both the local renal unit (omagh) and the N Ireland kidney patient association. Both of these give huge amounts of support when needed, in light of this we are holding a coffee morning and cake sale which I know will be well supported by the Kesh and surrounding community. My aim is to raise £2000 in total and split the proceeds between the 2 organisations. Obviously I now live away from my home town of Northampton and understand Co Fermanagh is a long way to come for a cup of coffee and a scone, so would be grateful if you would kindly give a donation here. Many thanks Marnie x x
