Leighton Hospital's Children's ward are currently undergoing a refurbishment but unfortunately the NHS budget does not fund the playground.

I personally have spent countless days and nights on the ward with my eldest and can fully understand how useful and important the outside playground is (especially in weather like this.) Although the ward has a very good playroom for the children the outside space that they can have use of is a god send. I know as a parent spending day in day out within the same four walls sends me crazy and just having somewhere to go where the children (and adults) can go to have some fresh air and a play is a huge advantage to the ward.

I am hoping that we all together can raise some funds to help the ward get their outside play area.
