Never have I imagine to answer a call hearing that I'll be losing my Dad (Bernabe Reyes) on that day. My dad has been suffering from multiple health problems of poor heart and liver conditions which affected his strength to walk and had no choice but to be in a wheelchair permanently. But regardless of his health problems, he always had a strong and confident smile on his face and this reassured me that he is stable and conquering his sufferings with no fear. But I know it's hard for my dad to be strong everyday and yes there are moments where I would mentally prepare myself of the day when he will surrender and give into his sufferings but on Saturday 5th November was not the day I was prepared for this to be a reality.

I may not see or talk to my dad everyday as my sister and I live with our mum since I was 7 years old when our parents decided to part ways. But, we still make the effort to have father-daughters bonding and our mum would even encourage us to see him more.

But I still feel like I haven't spend more days with him as he wished too so as a way of thanking him for all the blessings he has given me. I want to make his dream come true of wanting to be buried in the Philippines, the place he calls home and be reunited with his late parents. My family and I didn't realise how costly it is for this dream to happen. We are hoping for your contribution even the smallest amount can make a big difference to make our Dad's wish happen.
