Story
On Sunday 30th October, the central Italian region of Le Marche was hit by a 6.6 magnitude earthquake - the largest for 36 years.
Our local village of Sant'Angelo in Pontano currently has more then 80 families without homes who are living in a large tent in the village sports ground. The historical centre of the village is unsafe and completely closed off - possibly for months. In it, the beautiful 12th century clock tower, a small community theatre and the church. I would like to raise funds to go to directly help both the displaced villagers and the important, historical, community buildings in our lovely village.
If you've visited us here, you'll know how special this place is. Just a small donation from a handful of people could make a real difference. All donations will go directly to the Sant'Angelo in Pontano Comune (effectively, the council).
