Story
Hello everyone and thank you for taking time to visit our Just Giving Page for Lenny McConnell. Barry and Claire received the devastating news that their wee girl Lenny has been diagnosed with Leukaemia in April. An extremely stressful and worrying time for the whole family. This week Lenny has started undergoing chemotherapy at the Aberdeen Childrens Hospital.
Alan Rose, Campbell Graham, David Orr, Fergus Leith, * Seamus Doyle (injured back) and I intend to walk the full 100 miles of the scenic West Highland Way. We will depart Milngavie on the 13th of June and finish up at Fort William on the 18th, walking on average 20 miles per day. I’m sure it’ll be tough at times but knowing we are providing support to the family is all the motivation we will need. The money donated by you kind people will go towards helping the family with day to day living, travel to and from treatment for Lenny as well as accommodation. Once Lenny is back to full health we hope we can raise enough for the family to have a short break.
Barry and Claire have informed us that they will look to donate part of the funds to the charities that are providing them with support during this difficult period.
We understand how hard things are with cost of living and everything else that’s going on so please donate as little or as much as you can without putting yourself out.
All accommodation and personal expenses incurred for the walk will be covered by ourselves so every donation made will go direct to Lenny and family.
Take care and thank you all in advance.
