I moved into social housing about 5 years ago and I didn't know anyone. A older free spirited women befriended me and we have become close. During 2 years of that time I experienced horrific floods (dirty sewage water) while I was still living there, in property on and off for 2 years it was coming through my ceiling and into my living room it damaged my sofas laptop and clothes and affected my self esteem and I started experiencing anxiety. I informed council at every opportunity about what was happening even tho they came out many times it was never properly solved. I had to stay in many times effecting my job and looking for other work.Emotional turmoil. I got into meditation and Reiki to help keep me calm and see things from another perspective. I was later sanctioned by benefits for not attending appointment which I couldn't as had to stay for builders and plumbers. I'd be grateful for this money to help give me a break for few days somewhere nice after all the stress and to put towards anything I need to help with.
