I am a Catholic Priest that has been ministering in the UK for the past 6 years. Originally I am from Umuahia, Nigeria and I am from the Order of Sons of Mary, Mother of Mercy. I have a place to study a Masters Degree in Biotechnology at Newcastle University for this coming September 2017.

I am fundraising to help and support my funding for the tuition fees for the course. The total fee for the course, £6750, has to be paid in several termly instalments, the first one being before the course begins, September 2017, and regular ones after that.

My interest is in Agricultural Biotechnology and I wish to return back to Nigeria to enhance the understanding of the Biotechnology students in the Universities and Colleges so as to improve the situation of Food Production within Nigeria.

Currently the Food Production Level does not meet the demand of the population and thus prices for crops such as rice are very high and near unaffordable for most normal people. Rice is a staple in the Nigerian diet, yet the disadvantaged are unable to consume it due to these practical reasons.

My degree will better prepare me to make a significant contribution to increasing Food Production Yields, so as to benefit the under privileged peoples.
