Story
Welcome to our JustGiving page.
Hi! We are 4creativi. We are a team of directors/writers/producers with the dream to tell stories that audiences rarely get to see, stories interwoven with the fabric of everyday life and steeped in subjects dear to our hearts.
Last year Genevieve Ray wrote a play based on her life experiences and styled as a romantic/surreal drama. A play that deals with family, heartache, love and mental health and what it is that one needs in order to put the past to rest to move forward and thrive.
And we put it on in a small pub theatre in Walthamstow.
It was an experiment.
We hoped that maybe 60 people would come a night.
We ended up with 100 people and a serious dash for chairs. And when the curtains closed the audiences stayed and talked about the play. About their experiences with the core story.
They talked to each other in a way theatre audiences rarely do.
It moved our team...
Days later we started receiving requests for new dates, we’d been asked to bring the play back. Patrons swore that they had friends who needed to see this play. They wanted us to try again.
And that is what we are doing.
And we would like your help.
Last time round we pulled together a show on a shoestring budget, with some birthday money and a wonderful cast with lot of passion and drive.
This year we have expanded the script. We have a great partner that offered us a theatre and their unwavering support. Our cast is as superb as ever.
But we need more funding.
Below is a short blurb about the show and details on how you can find us online for more information.
Please pledge your support for “Prison” by Genevieve Ray so that we can start a serious conversation on the themes touched by the play.
Here is a short blurb:
Sarah should be happy.
She has it all included Stuart the boyfriend which moved in with her, loves her and he is not afraid to show it.
But when there are secrets looming behind closed doors , shadows become ghosts haunting Sarah and threatening to torn to shred the reality she painstakingly built.
How can she make peace with her past without losing her future?
INCENTIVES FOR DONATIONS: £10= Special thank you note in our programme. £50= A signed poster by 4Creativi crew. £100+= 1 free ticket, 1 Prison specialist mug, 1 signed poster and invite to a special reading of our next play.
