Hedgehog Rescue Centre
Injured & sick hedgehogs are cared for, rehabilitated and released back into the wild once they are big enough to cope happily.

She is totally self-funded. No grants are available. All carers carry the cost themselves. Donations are most welcome. Money is not the only way. Newspapers, towels, cat & dog food, mealworms etc. are greatly appreciated as it is a very costly business. Vet bills for medication are the greatest cost. To rehabilitate a hedgehog once 'diagnosed' costs £60-£100, dependant on the 'problem'. Medication may be necessary for many weeks in some cases. Occasionally it is necessary to look after a hedgehog for it's lifetime if it's injuries mean it cannot be returned to the wild. Les Monts Rescue Centre offers this facility where a hedgehog garden not only provides a safe haven, but is used to prepare others prior to their return to the wild.
