    Story

On August 12th 2015, a local Norwich family were enjoying a day out at Whitlingham Broad which sadly turned to tragedy. Bonheur Musungay, aged 14 got in trouble in the water and his cousin Stella Kambi, heroically tried to save him however, sadly they both drowned. The Inquest has found their deaths to be accidental, however have criticised vandals who destroyed signage warning of water danger.

These two beautiful children are at rest, side by side in a cemetery in Thorpe St Andrew. The family have no funds available to pay for memorial stones to mark their final resting places.

Please help me try to raise the funds needed to give these children the memorials they deserve, as a parent, my heart goes out to their families as they try to pick up the pieces of their lives after this heart breaking tragedy.

Please, help me, every penny will count.

Dear everyone. The families have now chosen their stones and I am receiving a bill from Gildencraft Stonemasons of initially £1,000. In order to settle the account I need to close the Crowdfunding page. Please be assured every remaining penny will be safely looked after and I will make sure that proof of any disbursements are advised to the EDP as hopefully they will do a story update. The remaining funds will of course be donated to a suitable charity, hopefully one that can support similar families. Thank you ALL. MERRY CHRISTMAS my friends x

Dear supporters. Just to give you an update. The families are in the process of choosing the memorials and discussions are taking place with the Vicar of the churchyard to ensure everything is in order. The funds are being held on the page until bills have to be paid and of course any residue will be donated to an appropriate registered charity, hopefully one which will help other families in a similar situation. Thank you again for your kindness and support, wishing you all good health and happiness always. With affection. Lesa x

Well what can I say. You all have been incredibly kind and so generous. The families are overwhelmed at the support from the Community. I myself am deeply touched by your response. As soon as the money is handed over to the Stonemasons I will of course provide you with proof. My heartfelt thanks to you all to help make the dream of a lasting memorial to Stella and Bonheur a reality. Xx
